Child Counselling
Every child and their needs are unique. When working with children using words, I first assess their cognitive ability to be able to work with their words. Their cognitive skills can be impacted by environmental factors or developmental factors.
I am an integrative counsellor with my foundations being person-centred and incorporating different therapeutic approaches to suit each individual's uniqueness. I give clients the opportunity to work through and help them understand their thoughts and feelings in a warm and safe environment, helping empower them to gain acceptance/control over experiences (past and present) and situations that are affecting their quality of life. Clients can explore what they need confidentially, and at their own pace without being judged.
I offer a blended approach to counselling and psychotherapy, which allows me to have more choice in the way you access therapy. If you are worried that your child is experiencing difficulties and you believe I can help you and your child, please contact me for a more detailed conversation. Here are some of the difficulties I can help you with:
- Loss/Bereavement
- Anxiety
- Separation/divorce
- Abuse
