I am a qualified Play and Creative Art Therapist, trainee Psychotherapist and Counsellor (Children, Adolescent and Families). I work in Buckingham, Milton Keynes and Northamptonshire.
I previously worked as an art teacher and children’s book illustrator. My expertise is drawn from 20 years of closely working with children in variety of settings.
I am a Certified Play Therapist (PTUK) and a Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP). I am also a Clinical Supervisor, have completed the Online and Telephone Working Course, and am currently training as a Creative Clinical Supervisor. I work using an integrative approach to counselling and psychotherapy, which enables me to explore and tailor the therapeutic work to each child or young person. As a therapist, I combine playfulness with mindful presence to help children feel safe, engaged, and able to access the therapeutic relationship.
All my services are based on a deep respect for the child, young person, and their parents, with commitment to empower them to gain insight into their world and give them an opportunity to resolve their problems. The therapeutic relationship itself is one of the most important elements on the road to healing.
If you would like to find out more about whether we can work together or discuss concerns you have for a child/young person, then please do reach out and book a free assessment call.
This call is an opportunity for me to discuss your particular issues privately with you. In that call, I will be able to evaluate which therapeutic approach is a suitable option for your child before arranging a consultation.
