I am a qualified Play and Creative Art Therapist, trainee Psychotherapist and Counsellor (Children, Adolescent and Families). I work in Buckingham, Milton Keynes and Northamptonshire.
I previously worked as an art teacher and children’s book illustrator. My expertise is drawn from 20 years of closely working with children in variety of settings.
I am Certified Play Therapist, and I am a Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP). I use integrative approach to counselling and psychotherapy; this allows me to explore and tailor the therapeutic approach to working with children and young people. My style as a therapist is to combine playfulness with mindful presence to help children to access the therapeutic relationship.
All my services are based on a deep respect for the child, young person, and their parents, with commitment to empower them to gain insight into their world and give them an opportunity to resolve their problems. The therapeutic relationship itself is one of the most important elements on the road to healing.
